Learn the tradition of creating a Kurdish Clove Apple with Jiwana Soleimani! These spiced apples have been part of Kurdish Culture for hundreds of years and meant to last a lifetime. Originally gifted by young Kurdish women to profess their feelings, these were made by covering an apple with cloves and then left to dry. The fragrance can be revived by lightly spraying the apple with water once dry, perfuming the room. Not exclusive to expressing feelings of Romance, they are also made to ease disagreements with loved ones, a symbol of reconciliation after an argument, or to symbolize grief after losing a loved one.
You will walk away from this 3 hour workshop with new knowledge on this tradition and your own clove apple. These loving gifts can easily last over 20 years and are a loving testament love and commitment <3
